Female Afro basketball 2015: Cameroon wins against Mozambique (68-54)

The lionesses did a wonderful entrance into this competition by defeating Mozambique (68-54). The public massively came and there was a peaceful atmosphere. The coach Claude Zedong Taiwaly was really happy of his girls who won in the first encounter. Even though the Mozambican captain Ngulela Deololinda Carmen registered 19 points, this wasn’t enough for them to win.

On the Cameroonian side, Nlonlack Ramses and Mbiandja Pricilia registered 12points each, thereby inversing the situation. The baskets of (2 points), that is their secret. Thanks to their 45 bounces, the kept on and did a wonderful ride.

“We are glad of this victory because it enables us to start a good competition. It is true that the beginning of this match wasn’t easy but we could get over it. Our objective is to play till the 3rd of October, that is reaching the finals and we are working hard for that” Njonkou Amina the lioness captain.

“When you are playing a competition at home, it is not easy because there is a lot of tension. But the girls had the ability to manage their tension. I think the machine is on to go as far as possible. We say thanks to our public who were there in numbers and who gave us a lot of support, it is also thanks to them that we shall go far into this competition…” Alain Claude Zedong, the lioness coach.
