En course pour une nomination aux Oscars 2021, le film camerounais « The Fisherman’s diary » a malheureusement été écarté de la course.
Lundi 15 février, la liste finale des nominées de la 93ème édition de la cérémonie de récompenses du cinéma américain a été rendue publique. Malheureusement, le film camerounais qui a pourtant été accueilli à bras ouvert par Netflix ne figure pas dans la shortlist des prétendants à l’Oscar du meilleur film étranger.
Seule consolation pour l’Afrique, le film réalisé par le tunisien Kaouther Ben Hania, « L’homme qui a vendu sa peau », demeure en compétition. Nous lui souhaitons bonne chance ! Notons que, la prestigieuse cérémonie des Oscars se déroulera le 25 avril prochain.
