Ce dimanche 26 juin à Los Angeles se déroulait l’annuelle cérémonie des BET Awards, la cérémonie qui récompense les meilleurs artistes, acteurs et sportifs afro-américains de l’année. Une soirée marquée par un vibrant hommage au chanteur Prince et par la performance musicale de Beyoncé. Le rappeur canadien Drake remporte le prix du meilleur « artiste homme hip hop » et de « vidéo de l’année », ainsi que celui de la « meilleure collaboration » avec Rihanna pour le single « Work » et enfin celui du « meilleur groupe » avec le rappeur Future.
A noter la récompense pour l’artiste nigérian Wizkid, « Best International Act Africa ».
