Two months ago, Don Jazzy announced that singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk (popularly known as Iyanya), had left Made Men Music Group (MMMG) and was officially a member of the Mavin family.
While the move felt totally out of left field – considering he co-founded MMMG – as soon as we heard Iyanya’s first single under the Mavin umbrella, “Up To Something”, it started to feel like a match made in heaven.
Now with the release of the very cinematic video for the single, featuring Mavin heavyweights, Don Jazzy and Dr. Sid at their best, Iyanya seems even more at home.
Sure the video’s concept isn’t wholly original – Iyanya, Don Jazzy and Dr Sid play wealthy criminals being chased down by an inept detective – but if the formula isn’t broken, why fix it?
The video is pretty stellar and so is the track – so, we are understandably hopeful to see what else Iyanya can deliver with his new music family.
